The PsyScope Button Box

The PsyScope button box is sold by New Micros in Dallas, TX. For information on how to order from them go here. It is a small separate box with a separate microprocessor, three push buttons, matching LED's , an output to the Macintosh, outputs to other devices, additional input lines, and a built-in voice activated relay. Several files are available from this page that can help you in understanding and using the button box. Unless otherwise stated, the files are in .sit format for the Macintosh.

The Button Box communicates with the Mac via the serial port. Newer Macs do not have serial ports, so you need to use the Keyspan USB Serial Port Adaptor (USA-28x), or some similar device. We have tested the Keyspan device and it works fine.
