5.2 Allocating Stimuli and Attributes


When an event is read from the script, it is incumbent upon the ODEV which implements its event type to read the stimulus of the event and any type-specific attributes, and interpret them as necessary to construct the event. This is accomplished mainly via the message OAlloc, with the help of the messages ONewStimOldAttribs, OSplitStimRefNum, and OMakeStimRefNum (See
"5.3 ODEV Messages and Their Parameters").
