Chris Emmery wins Leo Coolen award for his master dissertation

Our new colleague in the AMiCA project Chris Emmery won the Leo Coolen award for his master dissertation "Topic modelling in online discussions" written under supervision of dr. Menno van Zaanen at Tilburg University. 

The Leo Coolen award is an annual prize to be awarded to a student that wrote the best master dissertation in the area of electronic communication.
The award was named after Prof. Ir. Leo Coolen. He was a professor in telecommunication in Maastricht. He was also the director of the NWO (Dutch science funding agency). He died unexpectedly in 2005.
