CST, University of Copenhagen

Barbara Plank works at CST (Center for Language Technology) at the University of Copenhagen. Her research focuses on cross-domain and cross-language natural language processing. She is interested in robust language technology, learning under sample selection bias (domain adaptation, transfer learning), annotation bias (embracing annotator disagreements in learning) and generally, semi-supervised and weakly-supervised machine learning.

Venue

Conference Will Be Held At

Mercure Centrum Opera

Located near the historic center and the Flemish Opera, a short walk away from the station. It will serve as both venue and hotel.

Molenbergstraat 9 11, 2000 Antwerp, Belgium

Practical Info

By Car

On the Antwerp ringway R1 exit Borgerhout, follow direction 'centrum' by taking the Plantin Moretuslei. After passing under the railroad bridge, turn right before the traffic lights. Turn right at the second lights, take the middle road and turn left at the second lights. The hotel is 50m farther on the right.

During ATILA

There is a public parking spot near the hotel. There will be breakfast at the venue the first morning; on the second day there is a buffet at the hotel for those staying over (so none at the venue).

By Train

Grab a train to Antwerp Central station. On arrival, walk straight through after the escalators to exit the station and keep going until you reach the road, then turn left. After three traffic lights turn right, but not immediately after crossing the last lights. The hotel will be on the left side of the smaller next road.
