CLiPS congratulates its newest doctor in linguistics, Bram Vandekerckhove, on the occasion of the successful defense of his phd thesis "Exemplar-based generalisation at the interface between syntax and semantics". His phd was supervised by Dominiek Sandra and Walter Daelemans.

Boekvoorstelling: Het Gewicht van de Auteur (Mike Kestemont)

Op 29 november om 17.15 uur heeft in de Koninklijke Academie voor Nederlandse Taal- en Letterkunde de voorstelling plaats van het boek 'Het gewicht van de auteur. Stylometrische auteursherkenning in Middelnederlandse literatuur', door Mike Kestemont.

Mike Kestemont receives UAntwerp research award

On November 13th, 2013 Mike Kestemont was awarded the Herman Deleeck research award for social and human sciences at the University of Antwerp.

 Mike was lauded for his work in digital humanities at the verge of literature, linguistics and history, using computational methods.

Walter Daelemans at TEDxFlanders Salon

Walter Daelemans will be giving a TED talk at the TEDxFlanders Salon on November 13th, 2013.
